Description

UEB 100 and UEB 200 are compact receivers for signals according to ETSI EN 300 401. They support reception in the VHF-band III and in the L-band, which are both used for DAB transmission. The UEB 200 supplies the recovered data stream from all sub-channels of a DAB multiplex at its USB interface. In contrast, the UEB 100 provides a maximum of 7 services with a total of 800 kB/s due to its limited processing capacity (3 video services with up to 640 kB/s, 4 audio or data services with up to 400 kB/s). The decoding of all services is performed on the USB-attached host-PC by utilizing appropriate multimedia decoders. This strategy allows the processing of DAB+ and T-DMB signals as well as the decoding of a wide range of data services and upcoming standards based on Eureka 147.

Both, the receiver module and an USB interface board are fitted into a robust aluminium housing. The USB interface is utilized for (1) setup of the UEB 100 / UEB 200, (2) exchange of status information, (3) transmission of the recovered data stream to the host-PC, (4) update of the firmware and (5) power supply of the assembly.

Source code examples in C/C++,which are available to customers, clarify how the devices are controlled using an API. The UEB 100 / UEB 200 can therefore be easily integrated into one’s own software projects.
